Is the "Appointment package" what comes in the mail after you get an appointment, or after you accept your appointment?

How soon should this package (if it is what i think it is) arrive in the mail after portal status change to appointee?

They don't send the BFE's (Big Fat Envelopes) any more. It's all electronic now. It would appear that the electronic "package" should be hitting the portals soon as it normally seems to happen in early to mid March.

Maybe in October...I guess that would make a difference, but I'm not sure why AFA wouldn't stay consistent with BFEs. So I should not expect anything in the mail if I am just an appointee that has yet to accept/decline?

My friend and I both got in really early to USAFA and we both never received a BFE... are you sure your friend actually got one?

I received my Appointment Kit today via portal. (03/08/17)

Hmm...I have a friend who is an appointee for Class of 2021. He received a BFE.

Trust me -- he did not receive a "BFE". USAFA hasn't sent any such package since the class of 2017 (4 years ago).

Everyone, I truly apologize for any misdirection. I really thought I saw a USAFA appointment package. My sincere apologies! I did not know they stopped sending them out so long ago. Again, I am really sorry.

Relax Anon! Lots of electronic and snail mail going out now - confusion is likely.
