There is a trickle. Primarily LOA holders with Presidential noms. Slates aren't due until Jan 31. Applications are completed in February. The vast majority of appointments will happen in late Feb and March. Primarily March.
Also, some MOCs turn in slates earlier than Jan. 31. Those who make Principal noms and get their slates in early can lead to appointments going out early as well. However, at this point, most are Pres nominees with LOAs.
I thought it was a little bit early. Well congratulations to one of my Sons friends! he received an appointment yesterday. He goes to my son's high school. So my son is excited. They have two at the academy next year !!
