That would be a newly commissioned second lieutenant, who is probably bored to tears and would be delighted to give you pointers on boots and other facets of ROTC.
Hey - I'm sure he/she is up to their eyeballs in BS administrative paperwork that does not need to be bothered any further.
But seriously though - I was going to say the same. Call up the cadre and see what they say. Just a little tip for future reference, the NCO's are the one's who know the in's and out's of those very very dry rules and regulation books.
A couple names that have been thrown around that I've seen people wear: Nike, Belville, BlackHawk (that I can think of off the top of my head).
ahaase14 - we are not trying to be rude - although sometimes as Pima said, for new posters it may come off as such.
But rather, we are here to give some aspiring cadets/midshipmen a wake up call. This is a forum that brings together current cadets, some recently commissioned officers, long time officers, retired, spouses, parents, and probably a thing or two in between.
To those who have found this forum to be an extremely resourceful and helpful place have decided to stay. Others, not so much.
It's up to you to decide what to do. Also - if you think we're bad - just wait until you get to Big Army (it's not all hunky dory like in the movies). Remember, the only difference between you (as an officer) and a private in your platoon is: he's been promoted twice already.
In other words, you're going to need some tough skin. If not, then being an officer, or being in the Military in general - may not be the place for you.
Best of luck.
(Do I get brownie points or something for being mentioned in someone else's post?
