I keep saying that I shouldn't keep saying that I haven't been sick in three and a half years. No cold, no flu, no COVID, no viral syndrome of any kind.
However, I'm not taking any chances. I work in a Petri dish and think there's a possibility that asymptomatic carriers is a thing with this virus. I've complained about the school board's mask decision but they had no choice.
Remember at the outset of the pandemic the guidance was: wash your hands, wipe down all groceries coming into the house, wipe down all surfaces a hundred times a day. Then those in white coats and pocket protectors said that COVID-19 had a slim chance of being transmitted by fomite. It's obviously a good idea to wash hands and wipe down surfaces occasionally but individual common sense should apply here.
If it doesn't look, sound, or smell right, then walk away. If the local Shoppers grocery manager puts out a "Wear your mask" sign then I will. My sister a couple days ago said, "I'm done with masks. I ain't never gone wear one again." She lives on Meth Mountain and her husband hasn't worked in forever due to health problems. Oh, and she has custody of her two grand daughters because their mother is a meth head and a criminal. Yeah, go ahead and protest the mask mandates and get your family sick but I won't be at the funerals.
