Honestly, at this rate I doubt it will come out today, but if it does and is based on previous boards then there is only ~7 more hours!
yesIs this the error message you get?

The October board didn't come out until like 1:00 PM, IMO there's still a very high chance it will come out today. We'll see, though!Honestly, at this rate I doubt it will come out today, but if it does and is based on previous boards then there is only ~7 more hours!
I’m not sure exactly what time that is, if you mean est or what, but I think it was around 9pm my time (so like maybe 4 hours 30 min?) I may be wrong though. I hope they bring the site up soon . If they don’t knowing how stuff goes it might be like Tuesday… * hoping for the best thought !! *The October board didn't come out until like 1:00 PM, IMO there's still a very high chance it will come out today. My apologies, I should've mentioned, it was around 12:30/1:00 PM EST if my memory serves correctly.I’m not sure exactly what time that is, if you mean est or what, but I think it was around 9pm my time (so like maybe 4 hours 30 min?) My son received a 4 year in the first board, and this happened to him. He received an email from one of his top 3 school's ROO congratulating him for receiving it. That's how he found out initially. It was within a very close time frame to when the actual website updated.I think we may have just gotten a "hint" about board results. My DS got an email from an ROO at a school on his list (not his #1 school, but a very good school) asking for a meeting. The email basically said results from the January board will be out "within a week" and then went on the tout the various aspects of that school's ROTC program that make it one of the best in the nation, the kind of support that is offered to ROTC cadets there, etc.
The email does not state directly that DS is receiving a scholarship offer, but the way I read it, it's kind of in between the lines. Note that we have not had contact with this school previously. So, this was initiated by the ROO to make contact with my DS. Then again, I do not want to get hopes too high, as nothing is official until it's official.
Has anyone else received a similar email today? Again, good luck to all. This waiting game is tough.
Our son received a similar email this past Sunday evening (1/28/24) from one of the schools listed on his scholarship application. He's already been accepted to this school, including their honors college, and this particular school also awards a separate room & board scholarship for ROTC scholarship recipients.I think we may have just gotten a "hint" about board results. Yes so does this school offer free room and board. The email stated the total value to 4-year winners is $330,000.Our son received a similar email this past Sunday evening (1/28/24) from one of the schools listed on his scholarship application. My DS got a couple of those too. Curious if it is same school. I think some schools are very proactive recruiters.I think we may have just gotten a "hint" about board results. Thanks!
Interesting. I know from past boards the ROOs can see who is getting scholarship offers before they are made public. It's hard to think they would be reaching out to students at this time unless they knew that and wanted to recruit you to their school. My DS got a couple of those too. Curious if it is same school. So they do, but they are instructed to not say anything from what I’ve heard. I mean throughout since October I’ve had roos contacting me so I wouldn’t think tooooo much of it, but it is definitely a positive. I think also it’s generally the smaller / less known colleges with rotc who end up contacting people to get more members.Interesting. I hear you. And as I said, the email doesn't specifically say anything about the results, other than they will be out "within a week."So they do, but they are instructed to not say anything from what I’ve heard. Both of my sons got these emails before results were out. 3 of the 4 schools were the same for both sons. None of them were on their list of schools.I hear you. And as I said, the email doesn't specifically say anything about the results, other than they will be out "within a week."
That said, to send personalized emails to students between the time the review board ends and after results are announced -- UNLESS you know that student is getting an offer -- seems almost cruel when they know everyone is on pins and needles waiting to hear the official word.
