Army ROTC 2023-2024 2nd Board

as I understand the process and I'm not an authority, we will know this rounds answers this week.
My guess would be Feb 1st, as that is the Thursday after the board finishes, which is consistent with other results I've seen in previous years and the 1st board results this cycle.

DS boarded. He declined ECP scholarship in December to try for 4 yr (or 3yr) scholarship. Does anyone know how many scholarships they will give this time?
Good luck everyone!

Is the status "Boarded" the same as "Boarded N/A at this time" or does the latter mean you were considered during this January Board but denied?

No one truly knows the numbers until afterwards.

You can google some prior years to get an idea.

late this week as I understand it
More likely late next week or the first full week of February. Scholarship portal says 10-14 days after conclusion of the board.

As @disfiguredbob said above, perhaps Feb. 1 based on the timing of past January board results. If not then, shortly thereafter.

Posting in anticipation of the 2nd board taking place next week. My DS will be boarded, so looking forward to the results. Even though I respect his decision to go Army, I have to say GO NAVY!

When do they usually let you know if your DS got the scholarship?

Hello TMaga,
Based on past boards and when they notify you are looking at the thursday following the board earliest. So Feb 1st is probably when you'll be able to enter the portal and see the results. People have received notification from around noon through the early evening. Once the board concludes the results have to make their way up the chain of command and get approved for release. Thats why the board can conclude this week, but still takes days to make it to us.

Wow this is nerve racking :) My DD is handling it better than me. Good luck to everyone.

This is my 2nd son through this process....those days from the calendar end of the board......until emails start coming out are a frenetic 3-5 days. You will know here when it starts though!

Is it a certainty they do this in alphabetical order? I mean they could go in order of when applications were completed or something else.

But maybe it's well known that is how they do it since everyone seems to be operating off that premise.

I'm not sure myself. Perhaps one of the more knowledgeable posters can enlighten us. Either way, I had trouble with my PMS submitting my interview till the last minute, so I will most likely be taking up the rear either way.

I'm pretty sure they go out of their way NOT to penalize you for stuff like that. Your responsibility is to make sure your interview is conducted before the deadline. It's the interviewer's responsibility to post it to the portal. I can't see them docking you in any way for that person not taking care of his or her responsibility in a timely manner.

Good luck!

Mine says BOARDED (NA at this time) Does this mean he’s not chosen for any scholarship?
