AROTC 2nd Board notifications

My DS got a notification on his portal on the 27th stating there will be a decision in 2-3 weeks.
 
An ROO that I spoke with said that results should be out around the 14th. He was right on the money when he told me the last release date so I am assuming this one is as well.
 
Does anyone know how many more applicants will be boarded and placed on the OML during the 2nd board? Are the majority boarded during the 1st?

Ahhh soo nervous!

Just to second this... One of my friends said she also heard Feb. 9 from the PMS of the school she may attend. I'm hoping she's correct-- I don't want to wait any longer. ;) Best of luck!

That's what happened last board too. The results from the 1st board were released the second Thursday after they met.
 
DD got call from ROO at one of the colleges on her list and she has received a 4-year scholarship to 2 of her top 3 schools! Told her application status should update online in next 24-48 hours so not too much longer to wait for everyone stalking their portal :)

Had anybody NOT been contacted by the schools that are on their list? My DS was only contacted by one school on his list, one he was admitted to at the time, and he is a very strong candidate to be admitted to the other schools on his list. Doesn't seem promising. He hasn't visited any of the schools yet due to finances, are waiting to see which schools he is admitted to before visiting. I know, perhaps backwards, but would require expensive air fare.

From what I remember of those getting scholarships on 1st board, many did not hear from schools on their list and found out they had won only when the portal updated to winner. So no need to worry if you don't get a call, just keep watching portal :)

Sounds like another ROO jumped the gun and didn't follow the rule of not contacting applicants before the results are posted.
Congratulations to your daughter but don't take anything as gospel until she gets an official notice.

Don't worry, most applicants are not contacted prior to the results being posted. ROO's are not supposed to contact applicants to tell them they have received a scholarship until the results are posted. Not being contacted prior to official notification has no baring on whether they receive a scholarship.

Didn't realize that, just assumed that some ROO's called and some didn't based on 1st board winners getting calls before portal updated. She was excited, but honestly it won't be truly real until she sees it in black and white!
