I was recently informed that I have won an AROTC scholarship. I had put down two schools of intent, but under the status portion of my application, the scholarship only shows for one of the schools. Does this mean that I did not receive a scholarship to my other school of intent? (The school that it does show the scholarship for I have already been accepted to, while the one that does not show I am still waiting for a decision on) Thank You

Wait for the BFE. There will be a memo there that you and your parent will have to sign (decline or accept the scholarship).

On that memo will be the schools to which you can designate your scholarship. Hopefully, it’ll have the 2 schools you listed. If the memo lists only 1 school, then Cadet Command didn’t give you much choice.

If my DD were in your shoes and the school isn’t listed is her #1 choice, then I’d have her call the AROTC ROO at that school to ask what her chances are of being able to transfer the scholarship. Accept the scholarship at the lone school listed and then go through the transfer process to the non-listed, but #1, school.

Caveat: I’m not formally connected to AROTC, but the above would be my (as a consumer) course of action.

From what my PMS has told me, if you do not get a scholarship to one of your schools, you can put in a request to have it transferred to that particular school you wanted. This usually involves sending them a copy of your intended college's acceptance letter and 95% of the time it usually is approved. They understand that plans change and you may have not been accepted to a university or have already committed to one.
