The insight and experience from members on this forum is outstanding. After doing some reading here it seems for -
AFROTC...if you score a 26 ACT composite, do well in the interview, chances are good you’ll get a scholarship.
AROTC...gives out the most scholarships by far but has the lowest minimums, by far. Army superscores, AF does not. 19 ACT is minimum to qualify.
Let’s say a person is 25% class rank, 26 ACT 3.4 GPA, Lacrosse Team Captain, lifeguard, 7 AP classes, standard ECs, crushes “The Interview”, nearly maxes fitness tests and wants to major in computer science. It seems this individual would shake out amongst the services this way...on a 1-10 score
AROTC - 9
AFROTC - 8.5
NROTC/MO - 8.5
NROTC - 6
Does this hypothetical pass the sniff test?
