Hello, I currently have a fully qualified appointment at USNA. I was notified of this around a month ago and assumed that USAFA would be close behind. I still have yet to hear anything back. I was wondering if anyone is still waiting for a decision from USAFA or if anyone had some insight into what such a late response could mean? Any information helps. Thanks!

USAFA is not late, just on a different timetable as it relates to you. Where you are on their To Do list does not necessarily correlate to how USNA tackled its own thousands of applicants. USAFA also did a live transition to a new candidate management platform this cycle.

And, be mentally prepared, just because one SA offered you an appointment does not mean another will. You don’t know who your competition is, what the class-building goals are, how your whole candidate evaluation was scored by either SA.

Tend your alternate plans, go PT to bleed off stress, focus on what you can control, live in the present. And congratulations on the USNA offer of appointment.

I appreciate that a lot, and it's very true. I tend to get caught up in the whole process at times, especially when I'm so uncertain about how it might turn out like how it is now. Overall, great advice, and thank you!
