A little more detail on BCT squadron organization:
Basics are assigned into 1 of 8 BCT squadrons or squads (A through H). Basics wear lanyards the color of their BCT squad for easy identification by cadre, WebGuy and parents (via WebGuy). Each of the 8 BCT squads consist of 5 flights (A through E) for a total of 40 BCT flights. Each of the 40 BCT flights feed into 1 of the 40 academic year squads aka cadet squadrons (CS):
Aggressors (light blue) = Academic Squadrons: 1 through 5 (A Flight = CS-01, B Flight = CS-02, etc.)
Barbarians (orange) = Academic Squadrons: 6 through 10 (A Flight = CS-06, B Flight = CS-07, etc.)
Cobras (purple) = Academic Squadrons: 11 through 15 (A Flight = CS-11, B Flight = CS-12, etc.)
Demons (green) = Academic Squadrons: 16 through 20 (A Flight = CS-16, B Flight = CS-17, etc.)
Executioners (dark blue) = Academic Squadrons: 21 through 25 (A Flight = Cs-21, B Flight = CS-22, etc.)
Flying Tigers (red) = Academic Squadrons: 26 through 30 (A Flight = CS-26, B Flight = CS-27, etc.)
Guts (maroon) = Academic Squadrons: 31 through 35 (A Flight = CS-31, B Flight = CS-32, etc.)
Hellcats (yellow) = Academic Squadrons: 36 through 40 (A Flight = CS-36, B Flight = CS-37, etc.)
At the successful conclusion of BCT, each Basic will move with the rest of the Basics in their BCT flight into the corresponding academic squad just as MountainMom said.
