There’s rumors going around that Beast is going to be at Lake Fredrick this year. Can anyone confirm if this is true? And also any changes that might be happening this year. Thanks

CBT2 is just the second half of the detail (second three weeks). Sorry, I should've specified. It's when there is a change in cadre at the halfway point. CBT1 is primarily garrison briefs, in-processing, and item issue points; CBT2 is more field-oriented (you will spend about two weeks rotating between Lake Frederick & sleeping in the field).

You don't need to know any of this. Beast is just going with the flow.

Don't decide that you want to quit in the first three weeks. The second half of CBT is a lot more fun. I am amused when I go back and read my letters from CBT1--very dramatic.

Yes DS and I went to a NJ Cadet Candidate luncheon and the Colonel speaking there said they would be at Lake Frederick.

Thank you. What's in the in-processing? So the physical part starts at CBT2. not much in CBT1?

In-processing is just a broad term for all the paperwork, medical tests, academic placement tests, etc you'll do. There's a lot of it.

You do PT every day in CBT1 and CBT2. CBT2 is things like rappelling, grenade range, marksmanship, live-fire, CBRN, land-nav, fun stuff.

Don't worry about it. You will very much figure it out when you get here. Can't spoil everything for you.

Wow CBT2 sounds amazing! Is it right to assume that you'll be taught all of this stuff?

Great advice for CBT and beyond. Any Army school that might seem daunting at first (CBT, SERE, etc), it’s better a lot of the time to not worry and ask less questions. Sometimes knowing more let’s you build things up in your head in anticipation to make them out to be bigger than they’ll be in reality. The cadre can do a lot of things at different times to make your life interesting and/or challenging, but universally they cannot change the rate of how time moves. Every second, minute, mealtime, day is one less event until finishing up the challenge and finding the next one to go to

Will we be able to access letters during CBT2 At lake Frederick or can we only access them during CBT1?
