Best COVID-19 MEME

As a resident of the DC-Balt metro area, we usually have the Baltimore NBC affiliate news on during dinner prep. DH and I joke, but sadly, about what method (gun, knife, beating, etc.) we think will be mentioned in the near-daily lead story about a Baltimore murder. Every night, it seems, there is a violent crime resulting in death as the lead off. Sigh.

We took a cruise out of Inner Harbor years ago and we loved it. So my DS and my daughter and I stayed there last year on one of his weekends. Never again. A murder happened outside our hotel that night.

We agreed - we would rather stay in Annapolis.

I used to work closely with a NAVSEA program office and the first time I visited saw a whiteboard labeled "DCBC" with numbers and what looked like guesses. It turned out to be the office pool for the "DC Body Count" and the object was to predict the annual number. Sadly (?), wiser/more mature/more politically astute heads prevailed and the board was not seen publicly again.

These are just killing me. I’m getting non-stop texts from friends and family as these fly around. The USNA hand-washing one was a great hit with the alumni sponsor family.

I saw one with Homer Simpson spending his time getting “prison jacked.” Unfortunately, I deleted it. If I find it, I’ll post it.

My wife is a long time skin cancer patient and sent a photo of a new squamous cell carcinoma to her dermatologist at Walter Reed. He emailed back that he couldn’t have her come in to remove it because every clinic and specialist is now on the anti-COVID-19 mission. And poof, like magic, the meme gods sent me this.

I delivered a housemade bacon-cheddar-horseradish cheese spread on pita chips, garlic rubbed rack of lamb, roasted potatoes, marinated tomato and onion salad. The pound cake swirled with a PB swirl and a dark chocolate swirl, topped with fresh raspberries, awaits. The 2013 Daniel Pinot Noir from Anderson Valley was superb.

Oh sure, thanks a lot! If not for the dinner, you could have at least invited us over for the "bacon-cheddar horseradish cheese spread on pita chips" .
We would have brought over a bottle of Pinot Noir for the occasion (not necessarily of THAT vintage) but your DS would have enjoyed it anyway and appreciated our company and our best wishes for many happy returns.

Speaking on behalf of us all, how could you?

Quite easily? As an observant social distancer.
Happy to share virtually, 😇, but methinks that was the issue.
