That was my advice to her, I think she is just frustrated because she worked her tail off to get application complete and feels out of control. Guess it can serve as a lesson for a military life you don't have control over more times than notCounsel your DD to have patience. It took 8 years for George Washington to declare victory at the Treaty of Paris.
10 weeks since interview, application complete for two months and still no BGO report entered...where does DD go from here? Anyone know if there could possibly be a good reason to withhold an interview report?
Interviewed on OCT 2 , dont know exactly what day the portal was shown , just checks it today the 23th , and it is there with the message complete pending review. It appears that it was submitted on the interview day as well.Anyone who has had their BGO interview, how long did it take to show on CIS as received? My DD had hers two weeks ago and it is still showing as only item remaining to complete her application. She was unsure if it went to admissions first and then they updated CIS or if it would change status as soon as BGO sent report.
Maybe SoCal is different, but when DS#1 had his BGO interview, it was conducted in our backyard patio (with parents discretely hiding in the house) and son wore jeans and t-shirt. DS#1 is now a Firstie at USNA. (Obviously he did wear suit and tie for congressional interview). DS#2 had his BGO interview in August 2016. Once again interview was held in our backyard with the same BGO and DS#2 wore jeans and t-shirt too. I think (just an opinion) if BGO interview is held on a school day, your son would be fine in his school uniform. I don't know if a suit is required for a BGO interview, it was not the case for us.My DS was contacted by his BGO to schedule his interview at his high school. My son goes to an all boys school and they where khakis, short sleeve button up, and a tie as their uniform. Should my DS change into a suit prior to the interview or stay in school uniform? It's scheduled for 3pm, after school.
My son had his interview go wonderful and the BGO raved about him to me afterwards. He wore khakis and a nice shirt. I guess it's personal preference, It boils down to who your son is, not what he's wearing in my opinion. My DS was contacted by his BGO to schedule his interview at his high school.
