Where did you get the shoe order form? I got the boot memo but never received this.Hi
Please see this. I saved this from some other thread. Many have suggested Garmont as a best option

It's on the Cadet Store websiteWhere did you get the shoe order form? I got the boot memo but never received this.
It comes in an Admissible Packet through your portal, which stated that any boots will work as long as they are compliant with AR-670-1 and some other requirements. I do not know if they are visible to those who have not accepted admission, however.Does West Point send a notification to candidates offered admission about the Boots?
I didn't have either completed and they were released for me. It might be released for everyone who accepted their appointment because the letters state they are to "prepare for entrance into West Point".The admissible packet appeared after E-QIP and fingerprint were green. You need to complete the other steps first.
As for low quarters, I got the high gloss ones, but I think that may be the wrong one. Can anyone confirm?
Didn't see an answer to this question you posed. The short answer is generally no. There are boots that are better suited for cold weather environments. You might come to discover these once you are in the Army. But at West Point, you will just wear what you have.Just curious, do you wear different boots during winter in USMA or it's the same boots that you wear for summer field training?
You’ll need the ones as listed above you’ll have to shine yourself. It’s part of the experience. As a yearling, you can wear the glossy onesAs for low quarters, I got the high gloss ones, but I think that may be the wrong one. Can anyone confirm?
Does it seem like you need to break it in much? Or do they feel good right off the box? We're waiting for DS' order to be mailed to us.Update- I received the Garmont T8 Bifida boots and they fit great especially with the fox river socks. Thanks everyone for the recommendations!
I don't really feel the need to break them in too much. I think going on regular training walks leading up to BEAST will be all you need to break them in.Does it seem like you need to break it in much? Or do they feel good right off the box? We're waiting for DS' order to be mailed to us.
The low quarters, we got DLATS, are very heavy and stiff - seems to need a longer break-in time.
I also recently received the Garmont-- I'm getting fox river socks soon but for me the larger metal part digs into my ankles sometimes. I guess I have to figure that outI don't really feel the need to break them in too much. I think going on regular training walks leading up to BEAST will be all you need to break them in.
