What year was this?... ok during Plebe year we stayed at the Navy Lodging on three occasions next to the Chapel and Herndon. When we told DS that we're in the yard, he said they were not allowed to see the parents. So I suggested take a walk during your break and "nonchalantly" make a detour to Lodging. He stayed for dinner and then took the leftovers to his roommates.

He loved it. Said it was better than 5 guys (whenever I brought my kids I watched them eat - I don’t like 5 guys).
SWO is not on my Mids schedule. Oh well.Said they believe they are cutting the SWO part of their's to fit in the 3 weeks instead of SWO
Come visit upstate NY where it snows during 8 months a year. Miami Beach seems nice to me.Last visit to Annapolis, we went to 5 Guys... Overated like Miami Beach.
And that’s a cigar compared to his cigarette.
For any parents visiting kids at West Point and having the traverse the hellhole that is the Jersey Turnpike, on the way back down south, there are Shake Shacks in a couple of the service areas!Five Guys: When I lived in DC (Arlington, technically, just up the road from the Pentagon) I was walking distance from the original Five Guys. About as hole-in-the-wall as you can get. Future DW and I used to order takeout — there was really nowhere to sit inside — and by the time we got back to my place, there were dark spots on the brown paper bag. It was sooo good!
In-N-Out: I used to despise the idea, since it was a SoCal institution and I’m a NorCal native. Then they started opening stores up north, including one near my childhood home. Mom was a fan, so whenever we visited, we’d go there. It grew on me. Now I try to get some whenever I visit DS at college out there.
My ideal combo: In-N-Out’s burgers and Five Guys’ fries.
But if I want it all from one place? Shake Shack, hands down! Used to hear my NY friends go on and on about it. Couple days before DD’s I-Day, we tried the one in DC, before a Nationals game. That place is for real!
That’s how I read it.Pronounced “Dee Dee’s youngster cruise…” That’s five, cinq, cinco, cinque, funf…
