Could I ask my BGO if my file has been reviewed yet? Is that something that they know and are able to tell?

Yes we can. And no, I do not disclose this. I have one candidate who was reviewed over 6 months ago. Still no decision. Just because they make a decision it doesn’t mean you will hear x days after. Your package then goes to the board that slates everyone. So they could hold on to your package for a lengthy time seeing how slates are turning out.

you won't receive any information about your status until a decision is made and your portal is updated - Fully Qualified Offer / Conditional Offer / NAPS or Foundation Offer / TWE

caveat is that if you get an offer, you could be notified by your MOC but that doesn't always happen

your BGO is instructed not to tell you

Sorry to change the topic, but I've recently been hearing a lot about "slating." Can someone tell me what this means?

Slate, as is in, a list of candidates with nominations, similar to the political usage. Or, a slate or list of candidates Admissions is reviewing. Or, what’s on the slate (list) for today’s board review? Or, “we are working on slating the final list of candidates for the VP noms.”

Just to bring it back to the OPs question for a moment, what good does knowing if your package has been reviewed do? Would yo do something differently? Could you do something differently? It seems to me it's useless information and I have enough trouble acting on useful information... I don't have time or energy for useless info. Patience.

Ah ok. Thanks!

I am requiring a waiver and was asking because i figure if they have already reviewed my app that they have already considered me for a waiver or not.

I sure hope you get this Appointment, young man. If only the board could see how much you want this. I am root'n for you.

Thank you, its been my main focus for the past 2 years and can see myself at USNA so easily. It's been a long process and will be fairly bummed if I don't get in but I know that USNA admissions know what they're doing. I want to serve this country more than anything and believe the best path I can take is USNA.

At this point, most if not all, records have been reviewed. However, being reviewed and having a decision made re appointment, WL, TWE is a different matter entirely. The latter process is what is happening now and many candidates are still waiting for that decision to be made. Patience is difficult but necessary.:)

If im understanding correctly, your record being reviewed means it’s being checked if you’re 3Q? Then after deciding if you’re 3Q, you’re moved onto slate review?
