Can the PMS with which I did the interview see my schools of preference?

Hi everyone, I just completed my interview and it went extremely well. My only worry is that by having done the PMS interview in my 2nd favorite school, when the PMS will upload the interview he might notice that their school is my 2nd choice and change his mind. Is this the case?

My second question is if the interview is registered and reviewed by the board or it's just a checklist with comments and scores that the board reviews?

It shouldn’t change his mind and the interview is registered and the comments of the PMS I’m sure are reviewed quite intensely.

I didn’t even have the school I interviewed at on my list. It was just local and convenient to go for the interview, however, the PMS presented his program so well and professionally during the interview that I ended up putting the school #1!

My DS had a similar experience. The PMS was a grad of one of the schools on DS's list but the school where he interviewed was not on his list nor had he even applied there. My DS and the PMS had a great discussion comparing the two schools and why his current school would be a good choice given DS's goals. DS came home and seriously considered applying to the school. However, there was no pressure from the PMS and the interview went very well (DS was awarded a 4 yr scholarship on the first board). Overall, it gave him a good impression of AROTC.

We can only see your preference list if our school is listed as one of your preferences. The military cadre don't really care what school you attend for ROTC, and your school preference will not influence how they rate your interview. Do you really think that a LTC in the Army lacks the integrity and ability to assess someone fairly and without bias based on school selection?

@MohawkArmyROTC - to be fair, a 17-19 year old applicant with zero exposure to the military other than what they see on TV or the internet has no perspective as to the process or the 'professionalism' of an Army LTC. This is especially true of a US citizen applicant that spent the majority of their life in Europe. They will learn but have limited life experiences.

Imagine when a congressional panel of two retired (USNA grad) Navy Commanders who are both BGOs and a Retired Marine Colonel interview a candidate who wants nothing but USMA. . .
Somehow we are able to give a fair interview AND give reasonable career advice. . .

If you log into the application and click on the "Addition Information" tab you will find the instructions to "Accepting Scholarship and Transfer Requests" and the .3 Directions on how to address this.

PMS' are usually honorable and are not bias on your school selection. However, the PMS may delegate to their Detachment / School Recruiter to contact you to "hear the pitch" before you accept which is a fair and reasonable task to do
