I'm currently a 4/C NROTC Midshipman on scholarship but I can't stop wondering on whether I should reapply to USNA. On one hand, I like the freedoms that I have as a half-normal college student, but I really don't mind the NROTC commitments. I was dead set on USNA for a number of years and it wasn't something that left my mind after I got rejected last April. It nags at me everytime I see my plebe friends posting on social media. I'm also considering it for the possibility (albeit small) of being able to commission into the Restricted Line Intelligence Community, something that isn't even an option for NROTC. I went to a CVW my junior year of high school, but so much has changed that I don't know anymore. And a flight to Annapolis is long and expensive, so that's currently out of the question. I can still apply for my Congressman, Presidential, VP, and NROTC Unit for nominations if I do decide to apply. Any thoughts on the situation other than just to apply and weigh my options if I can ultimately snag an appointment?
