Yep. For no reason. He told me he banned me "forever" for making a rude post against another user, which IMO was very diplomatic.

Tell me what you said and I'll tell you whether or not it was rude.

your in good company

CC has been in a banning frenzy lately with some of our most famous posters getting the boot from there. I am safe at the minute.

Scipio lifted the ban today. I sent him a PM explaining what I did, and he said in the future, I need to report users instead of going all out on them.

The story is nothing really. One guy kept posting rude comments, to me and a whole bunch of other users, so I posted this: "Everyone hates you because of your rude posts, so if you have nothing nice to say, shut the hell up"

I couldn't help it. He was a jerk.

Hey, don't bait him over here.

CC is a strange forum, especially the SA end of it. Way, way too much misinformation being presented, even by people who should know better. And people don't take lightly to being corrected, even if it is nice and gentle. I have given up, and only PM individuals who truly want to know. Don't know how long I can keep it up though.

That's funny. I was told the same thing and when I followed the advice, I was banned for it.

Consider yourself lucky. I can't even PM people. I guess I was considered too revolutionary.

ETA: BTW, I have edited the title of this thread. While I may disagree with the way CC is moderated (and I recognize fully that I am not a disinterested observer in that regard), the fact remains that it's their house and therefore their rules. To label them as they had been in the original title was neither accurate nor appropriate, IMO.

I knew there was a reason I never signed up over there. I could see myself being banned for passing 100% accurate information.

You would probably be safe. No one understands the medical world. However, even though I have been a BGO for 10 years and had two near and dear company classmates who served in the Admissions Office over beer which we probably discussed way way too much propriatary information, people over there stand in line to tell me that I know not about what I post. I have on several occasions been described as "clueless". I guess it is a good thing that Naval Aviators are known for their egos. Even though after my recent ban I was promptly reinstated, I firmly intend to limit my actions over there to PMs to help specific candidates. However, such things as the recent idiotic flaps over LOAs and Presidential nominations make it hard. I think it was these subjects which initially pissed off all the moms over there last year.

Anyway, let's keep things over here how they are now. Factual helpful information.

The following wouldn't be an example of a rude post....would it? Not from CC either, from the Service Academy Forums, from a high school kid directed at a commissioned officer.

"^ Did I ask you *******? "

At some point you have to ask yourself what the common denominator is.

Line In the Sand,

You are owed an apology, the comment was immature and unbecoming from that poster.

I didn't make the comment, but here is my apology that someone would treat you in such a poor way, you deserve respect and thanks from our nation.

Now :) Happy Holidays, may you enjoy the beauty of the season!

You know, I haven't had any issues at CC in the AF section. Really a good section with almost no problems.

Well thanks Pima. My intent was not to get an apology, just to make a point.

Happy holidays to you too...Merry Christmas!

It's snowing in south jersey right now. I put my two 100 lbs bags in the trunk of my sports car last night and this morning at 0600 I took it in to get the winter tires put on. Then it started snowing.

Guys! I just wanted to break the mood. I'm getting my third diamond next week! The SAI published this year's promotions for a quarter of the Regiment.
