Let's back up. You stated the "competition is getting better."

Can you explain what you meant and how you've come to that conclusion?

If you want to discuss overall rates of admission, number of applications, etc., please start a new thread. Perfectly fine topic but not related to this thread, which is about the CFA at NASS.

    Thanks.

My DD is going to NASS this summer. Do most young women do the arm hang versus the pull-ups? Is there a stigma for doing the hang versus the pull-ups?

I asked my son who attended last year. He said "if I had to guess it was 50/50 arm hand/pull up and no one seemed to care BUT there were three girls in my group. Two opted out of about everything, Those two were not looked upon favorably by anyone at all. The one who tried everything was looked upon favorably by all regardless of what she could do/not do." So even if something was hard during the wk, and even if others are choosing to not participate, she should INDEED participate.

    Good Luck!

Just out of curiosity, what day is the CFA done at NASS? DS is concerned if a bunch of PT and random sessions of pushups and flutter kicks are done he will be sore for the CFA.
