After reading through several CFA discussions, I've gathered that one should strive to beat the averages (or better yet max) on each section. However, I have not been able to find a lot of examples of scores which have passed.

In your opinion, based off of your test, your DS test, or from what you've seen from other candidates tests that have passed/not passed, would my scores pass the CFA at no risk?

BB Throw: 60ft
Pull Ups: 12
Shuttle run: 9.17
Push Ups: 65
Sit Ups: 80
Mile: 6.35

I'm asking because I plan on taking the test this Sunday and have been considering pushing it back.

I'm no expert, but it if were me, I'd take it this time, see how I do/feel, and then decide if I want to take it again.

Yes, I believe you will definitely pass with those scores, which are similar, or better than the scores of some people I know who passed. Fun fact, my SLE friends and I deduced the BB Throw minimum is 50ft this year. One got 49ft and failed, and another got 50 ft and passed. Also, some people passed the mile run event even with times above 8 min (for boys).

To max your chances of appointment, don’t settle for “pass.” How about “absolute best I can do.” Remember, it’s a competition.

Your CFA scores are pretty close to my DS' official scores (see below) and he's a plebe at WP right now. But, MidCakePa is exactly right, push yourself to get the best score possible.

In a nutshell, your CFA score plugs into your Whole Candidate Score (WCS). Some people will tell you that the CFA is Pass/Fail, but it's not that simple. The CFA inputs to the Physical Aptitude Exam Score (PAES) which represents 10% of the WCS. So the higher your CFA, the more points you get on your WCS.

For some of the best information available on the West Point admissions process you should read this RAND Report: https://www.rand.org/content/dam/rand/pubs/research_reports/RR700/RR723/RAND_RR723.pdf.

But remember, this report is 4+ years old and there may have been significant changes to the process since then.

Heed the advice of the many Field Force Officers, Liaisons and Admissions Personnel have been giving on this website for years, NEVER LEAVE POINTS ON THE TABLE.
