Per the advice of many on this forum, I have continued to work at my application in hopes of somehow eventually getting a nomination.

Anyways, here are my CFA scores (male):

Basketball throw: 63 ft
Pull ups: 8
Shuttle run: 10.3
Modified sit ups: 61
Push ups: 52
Mile run: 7:55

Obviously lots of room for improvement. I’ll let you all know if these are passing scores or not.

Thank you.

Wow, congrats! Idk if the standards are the same for USAFA and USMA but hopefully these would pass for USAFA as well.

Thanks! I would look at their website averages and do the best you can.

I also did a Google search for the CFA calculator online and there was a website that gave you a good read on how the scores are viewed individually and within the context of their total.

What site was that? If it was gainserviceacademyadmission’s then I think it is off. I put in OP’s scores and they were failing according to calculator. Matter of fact I have done the same with numerous posters that said they passed and the calculator said their scores were failing. I trust people on here so the calculator must be flawed.

That might have been it. I am sure the calculator is not exactly right, but it can at least provide a rough indicator. Looking at the OPs scores, that run time might be failing. The key is that individual scores must meet a certain level, but then they must all also reach the overall minimum score threshold to pass. Doing enough to pass each event may still not reach the overall minimum score threshold. There is information about the maximums readily available and I have seen discussions about the averages. Those are probably more reliable benchmarks.

I mean OP said they were passing scores so I suppose run wasn’t slow enough to drag him down.

My DD noticed an updated score with the CFA calculator at https://www.gainserviceacademyadmission.com/candidate-fitness-assessment-score-calculator/
Maybe learning from scores and updating?

She passed with

BBall Throw: 60
Flexed arm hang: 24
Shuttle Run: 10.9
Situps: 88
Pushups: 30
Mile Run: 7:39
