YMG- Sorry to hear about your TWE. For anyone who has hit a difficult path in the road, the following song by Darius Rucker speaks volumes. I was dq'ed in 1983 despite having a principal senatorial nomination (honeybee sting allergy), but over the long run it allowed me the opportunity to meet my wife which I would not have had before. That, in turn, allowed me to father 5 wonderful (most of the time) children. It is my oldest who now is waiting for news on how his future is to be affected. Hope everyone enjoys the song....

It went to my house but I am living on campus at college right now. I live in Florida. It's strange, usually it takes mail longer to get to my house down here, but it seems that the BFE came quicker for me.

I am sorry for the pain your DS and you are feeling. I went through this two years ago with my DS. I will probably go through it again with my DD this year. However, seeing my son in a thriving academic setting is wonderful. He is in ROTC on scholarship and loving life. I couldn't have told him that two years ago. My thoughts and prayers are with you while you work through this process and if you have any questions about ROTC send me a pm and I would be happy to chat.
 
My DS got his TWE about a year ago...and now he is just finishing his first year with a ROTC scholarship. God closed one door, and opened another...and my son is very happy with the door he walked through!

So true!! I was medically DQ'd in 2008 and then went to college and loved it! Helped make me the person I am; now I am applying again but I know that if it doesnt work out there are so many other awesome things I can do with my life.
 
home today, state holiday for state employees. DS#2 was quiet before going to school today big week that will hold some news from USAFA and Spring Break is over (Senioritis). I will try not to look down the street for a glimpse of the mail truck today. I will check in periodical looking for news from all. Not being productive today around the house, but I wouldn't be at work either. At least being home I can check online the status of the MB stalkers. Best to all!:smile:

Don't give up yet. Although dated the same, an appointment letter made it 2 days earlier to western PA than to IL. I guess some crows fly straighter than others.

Thanks folks, we knew last week. This is just to let folks know that some BFE's have made it to the east coast. My thoughts are still with all of my fellow stalkers.

Hey Got2play - no BFE but no TWE right? Still in it. Our mailman must have changed the route he takes - used to come around noon, but now not until 4 pm. DS comes home after school and gets off to the gym - but today he has an English project so he won't be home until after 4:30. Gives me time to scan the "E" whatever it is. If BFE, I'll wait until we can Skype with my DH tonight. Then he can drop the news... if the TWE, well we can talk about it on the way to "meet and greet" his Texas A&M Business School dean, in town for a night. And you are all correct - one door closes, another opens. Never the end.

YMG - I'm sure it's a let down after all the hype in the last few weeks. I (we) will feel the same too if it comes down to it. At least the end should be near...
 
Dear YMG, I have so enjoyed your posts and forum conversations. I feel like I already know you, and you are a friend. I don't know what to say. I know this is a hard day, and I send you hugs and prayer and friendship for your entire family. Tomorrow will be a new day and this I pray for your child...............Their destiny awaits and it will be a bright one! May the path become clear, and all make perfect sense in the coming years, when you realize this small change led to an amazing and even better and brighter future. YMG your child will be a success in the AF because already you have shown that a TWE from the AFA will not stop them.

I hope you stick around because you are going to be a voice of reason come next yr for the mailbox stalkers 2016. You will be able to say to them life goes on.

As you stated you need trust in fate.
 
Thought it was it!

Ok, just opened my mailbox, saw a "BFE", then moved all the mail off the top of it... and it said:U...S...A...... a. :frown: An insurance bill... It made my heart jump!!!!!! I was for sure it was it!!!! Oh well.. there's always tomorrow.

And Congratulations to everyone who received theirs today!!!
