No news in Nh

I truly understand the heartache of all this stalking and no answer yet. Like many others, my DS has hoped to attend USAFA for many years. Congratulations to all who have received notification. All parents on this forum are very blessed to have such wonderful children who aspire to serve our great country. Wishing good news soon for us all.

Had a similar dream about a week ago.. I was holding a BFE in my hands and was thinking to myself "I can't believe this is happening.." turns out I was right, ha! :rolleyes:

Remember that not all MOCs call the appointees. Last year, DS did not find out until the BFE arrived. Past practice has been that the MOCs are given some time to call appointees, then the BFE is mailed. Shortly afterwards DS's portal changed. Best wishes everyone. :thumb:
 
Funny story for you all... My mom just nearly scared me half to death today. She walked into the living room with a blank look on her face and a thin white envelope in her hand, she held it out to me and said, "It's from your college."

My heart skipped four or five beats and I reached out to grab the envelope...

Turns out it was plan C college offering me another scholarship and had nothing to do with USAFA.

Well I had to stay busy today. We have a garden around our mailbox that was in need of some spring cleaning. So I worked on that all afternoon - pulling weeds, cleaning out dead leaves, trimming Russian Lace and phlox. Now our mailbox looks worthy of receiving a BFE! Nothing like keeping your hands busy to take your mind off worries! Have a good Sunday, everyone! :smile:
 
On the USAFA appointment thread, a Dad listed an appt call from one of our MOCs. I am very happy for his DD but my heart is breaking. That leaves us with 1 more MOC. My fingers are still crossed.....

Yepp. I am also from Minnesota, district 3. Still nothing yet, I'm getting very anxious.
 
I just received the much awaited phone call from my congresswoman while I was sitting in a movie theater waiting for The Hunger Games to start. I almost didn't answer the phone because I didn't recognize the number, but my friend said, "Answer it. You are waiting for a phone call anyway."

To the rest of you awaiting appointments, DO NOT GIVE UP!!!!! It can happen to you and you will probably not be expected the phone call when it comes. Good Luck!!!

Congrats!! I didn't think they would call on the weekend, which means I should probably go find my phone :biggrin:
 
Does anyone know when the final appointments will come out? On the portal it says the first week of April. I am really hoping to hear back soon, nothing in the mail today!
 
On the USAFA Admissions Facebook page, the admissions counselor/moderator said, "the Admissions board is working through spring break to get everything done as soon as possible." Their Spring Break started today so obviously they have not finished assigning appointments. Good news for those still waiting!

What district are you in? We are in 3 and DS has not heard anything yet. I am going to try to relax tomorrow and not think about it. Wish me luck.
 
Would it be a good idea to call the MOC office to see if their slot has been taken?
 
Its worth a shot. I guess it all depends if you want to find out. It could be good or it could be bad. The sooner you know, the sooner you can prepare for plan A or plan B.
 
Got a call from MOC!

This afternoon around 4:00, we received the MOC call that our DS has an appointment and will be receiving the BFE this week!! We are in such shock!! We had really convinced ourselves that this was not going to happen.
I am praying that others on the forum are receiving these calls with good news!!
