Waitlist Update

USAFA expects to begin notifying those on the waitlist of their status by mid to late next week. Things are still fluid and that may slip, but nothing will be released before then.

Good luck to those still waiting!

Good luck to you haleym and all the others executing plans b, c, d , etc. Hopefully we will be seeing all of you guys in the reapplying club for AFA next year.

DS, has been accepted and will be attending the Citadel in the fall. I think it will be a great fit for him and he is beginning to get excited about his plans. He plans to reapply next year for the class of 2017.

May I ask how you know this? I'm really really hoping this information is true. Also how many people do you think they will select off the waitlist? Do you know of any specific dates or times that they will release this information? If I'm on the waitlist and haven't been notified yet, what would you say my chances of getting an appointment are? Still pretty good or very unlikely?

Insider is a verified "insider" at USAFA. You can trust what he says.
 
I received my MOC call this morning. They said that I should expect the BFE by May 15th.
 
My DS, who was also on the wait list, was called by his MOC this afternoon.....he's in! Whew! Finally! After 2 long years of waiting, he is thrilled! Good luck to everyone else on the wait list (probably they are giving the MOCs a few days to call before any other notifications), and everyone else still waiting!

And to all those in the reapplying club, it worked for my DS, 2nd time was the charm, so good luck to you guys, too!

Thanks to everyone on the forum for being there for us during this loooooong waiting period. Hope to meet some of you on I Day - Yikes! Now we have that to worry about!!!
