My DS emailed RC with no response... waited a week then I emailed him with "parent of class of 2018 cc + son name" in the subject line... I got an email the next morning...Include DS ss# so he can easily look up the info... he was very informative, told us where he stood on the slates... (all closed) not the news we wanted to hear... NWL not likely to get appointment... but at least we had an answer and the anxiety was over...Finally! A qualified letter appeared! I think DS will still e-mail his RC to see where he is on the NWL.
How are candidates usually notified of appointments? I understand some congressmen call, but is it online, BFE, or some other way?
I have received a letter saying I was medicaly qualified is that the same thing?
Our DS is a principal nominee (23rd CD), academically & physically qualified, but his status is still listed as "pending medical waiver/review" on DoDMERB. All remedials have been submitted and posted for USMA review (confirmed on Monday, 3/24) but still no news. DS even conversed with DoDMERB Deputy Director via email personally to get clarification on a couple of items. Remaining very hopeful...
It's coming...soon. Good times.
Just wanted to follow-up...DS was contacted by Congressman last week and Appointment displayed in Portal this morning! Whew! Glad that step is complete, on to getting him ready for R-Day.
Thank you for guidance and support! I will continue utilizing this resource and the knowledge of its members for years to come. I am grateful.
