Class of 2020 USNA Appointment Thread

In SC, I know of two in Charleston County who have received direct appts. Also, there are 5 NAPSters from SC: one in Charleston County, one in Berkeley County, one in Dorchester County, one in Orangeburg, and one in the upstate. Those 5 should receive their appointments prior to prep graduation, which is May 13.

With all due respect, how do you know all this information?

Well, my DD is one of the napsters. (She has principle nom from Rep Sanford and a nom from Sen Scott). We know the other NAPSters from SC because we have all bonded this year. The 2 others / direct admits are from my child's high school and I know them.

Good luck to you! I'm pretty sure my DS's appointment is being charged to Congressman Loudermilk and not Sen Isakson but I'm not totally sure about that. I think they even start shifting where an appt gets charged right down to the end. But if you haven't gotten a TWE and you haven't heard of anyone else in your District I would think you are very much still in the game!

I'm sure I've read this somewhere on the forums, but I can't remember the answer. They send out BFE's and TWE's on April 15th?

New to the forum. I saw someone from San Antonio got in, congrats! I'm still waiting. Anyone from TX-21 get in?

Welcome to the forum. My DS got in from San Antonio Central Catholic TX-20, and he knows of another (friend of a friend) from O'Connor HS that got in, but not sure if he's from TX-20, 21 or 23. Good luck.

Honestly, I think SA should accept/decline students all on the same day like most colleges?
This whole process of getting 3Q'd, LOE, LOA, early nom, late nom, portal updates, MOC calling, some appointed early, and some appointed late all creates unnecessary stress:(
The LOA serves roughly the same purpose as an early admission at a college that gives their decisions on the same day. It gives the academy a chance to lock in highly qualified kids that they might lose to early admissions decisions to Ivies and other desirable schools.

Wow, I call that being connected! :) 5 NAPsters from the SC lowcountry is pretty good...must be something in the water, unless there are some from the upstate that you didn't mention.

3 napsters and 2 direct admits lowcountry. Other 2 napsters are midlands and upstate. But yes, charleston is well represented!

I know there have been 2 appointments from Thomasville GA (both direct admits from high school) and 1 from Bainbridge GA (reapplicant). Those towns are in the extreme south west corner of the state far from Atlanta.
I have family in Thomasville, I guess I was just assuming a ATL would have a high concentration of applicants and therefore a number of appointments.
