I did the initial physical, audiometry, and speech recognition back in October. I received a letter from DODMERB asking me to complete an AMI and get a comprehensive audiology/speech exam (R121.11). I've been trying to get this all figured out since then. The form was resubmitted to Concorde by the medical clinic. I have been trying to reach someone at Concorde for months. I did reach someone today and they finally helped me see that the exam I had was submitted as a Basic Threshold and they want a Comprehensive Threshold. The facility has no idea what the difference is.

When the form was submitted, apparently it was only a Basic Audiometry Threshold Evaluation that was initially performed. I sat in a sound-proof chamber and listened to a bunch of beeps, and clicked a button whenever I heard one. Does anybody know the difference between a Basic and a Comprehensive/what I need to do to sort it out? Or is the initial exam I got the comprehensive and was coded wrong? As for the Speech Recognition aspect of the AMI, is that just lumped in with the audiometry? I did read aloud during the exam.
