Contracted Cadet to Service Academy

Is it possible? Say, if I were to contract to AROTC, and I got a LOA to USAFA or USNA, would it be possible?

You would be released from that contract if you were appointed to a service academy. Happens all the time. No big deal.

DS buddy did one year as a contracted cadet and was accepted to West Point. Started over at WP and is now at Ft. Rucker. Happens all the time.

it's primarily because the sun heats the earth's surface unevenly. As heat is transferred to the air, we get regions of warm and cool air which can turn into regions of low and high pressure. This difference in pressure makes a force that causes the wind to blow.

Because they may realize they are better suited in another branch, or another branch might have an MOS that they are more interested in, etc. I had a classmate in high school who spent four years at WP only to commission into the AF upon graduation and attend flight school.

It may happen from time to time at a service academy, but it is extremely rare. I expect it is between rare and non-existent for ROTC. My suggestion is get your MOSs straight up front because you will almost certainly serve in the armed force you trained for in your ROTC program.
