DS has not heard anything about his CULP application for summer.

Is he out of the running? When do the last of notifications occur? (I don't like to bug him about things, especially with finals coming up in May, but it would be nice to be able to plan summer).

Our CULP kids have done all their training and got all their shots. I'm guessing your Cadet would have known by now. What did his cadre tell hm when he asked them?

I don't know. He has just said he has not been notified. We try to let him handle his own business and not "hover." However he tends not to ask questions and not rick the boat.

Thanks for the timeline on your battalion. I can pretty much assume it is not happening.

That would probably be a correct assumption. CULP notifications went out quite a while ago, and those selected are already prepped to go.

Is the summer between MS-III and MS-IV too crazy busy for a CULP assignment? In other words, should he reapply for next summer?

It was definitely too busy for my son that Summer but that was two years ago so things may have changed. Besides whatever they call LDAC nowadays, he also did a month of what I think was called CLC where he shadowed a LT of a Ranger unit.

CULP is an option for that summer, but you'll have to work around advanced camp. CTLT may be a better option.
