I was recently watching one of the online information sessions for one of the military academies. One of the questions asked was if we had to take multiple Dodmerb exams for each academy and the instructor answered yes. That was not my original understanding. I thought we took one exam and each service academy requests your medical status from Dodmets. Thanks for any info you could give.

Our DS is scheduled for his Monday. His USMA rep told him to advise her when it was complete and they would 'pull it in' to West Point's system (USNA app triggered DODMERB). Hope that helps. Good luck to you!

Heatherg21 is correct. I expect there was something of a misunderstanding at the information session. Each academy requires a DoDMERB exam. The applicant only takes a single DoDMERB exam. Once additional academies request a DoDMERB exam they discover, oh there's on already! Let's use that!

Confusion may have been with exam vs qualifications.

One exam, but each academy sets its own medical standards. The same exam may determine a candidate qualified for one SA but not qualified for another SA, particularly with vision standards.
