DoDMERB Question

Hello everyone!

I have recently completed the entire DoDMERB process and was deemed medically qualified. I completed the process through the West Point Portal. That being said, I am a little confused on how to know that my results will be sent to USNA. I do not remember letting DoDMERB know about the schools I am applying to at any point in the process because it was never asked.

If anyone has any insight on how to make sure that my results reach USNA, please let me know. Thank you so much for your time.

**To add on to this, (if this info helps at all) I have also submitted my USNA application. I just have my BGO interview to attend.

From what I've learned through reading multiple articles/posts about your question.

All the Service Academies should have a central portal, in which each of the Sas will be able to view your results. This being said, you won't have to retake the medical exams, no matter which academies you apply to. My understanding is, that this should also apply to ROTC Programs, for whatever respective college you are applying to.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but this is my takeaway.

Okay, awesome. That’s good to hear. Thanks for the info. Good luck on your applications!

Take my info with just a grain of salt, just in-case I provided you with something incorrect. I presume though that even if I am incorrect, the whole process is defintely something similar to what I described.. I'll tag a couple of the people that have helped me immensely, maybe you can get their feedback.

@MidCakePa @Old Navy BGO @EEBTTF

Maybe you gentleman could assist, in letting me know if I am giving off the wrong information.

Thanks!

CRITICAL POINTS: DoDMERB will provide the results to any and all Academies and ROTC programs, who request medical certification on an applicant. An applicant does NOT have to tell us what Academies/ROTC programs they apply to, because we will ONLY accept it from those programs directly---not the applicant.

THE ACADEMIES AND ROTC PROGRAMS DO NOT-- SAY AGAIN DO NOT -- HAVE A CENTRAL PORTAL TO VIEW ALL APPLICATIONS.

1) Academies do that after they download your profile to DoDMERB, upon meeting THEIR admissions application criteria. Read the DoDMERB thread for info on that.
2) National ROTC winners will have their DoDMERB results provided to the respective ROTC program(s) AFTER you are awarded a scholarship...contingent upon medical qualification/waiver.
3) Campus based ROTC scholars/non-scholarship will be provided to the respective Bn/Det when the PMS/Commander directs a DoDMERB exam to be conducted. :wiggle: :zip:

^ See above. He knows what he is talking about :) ! I echo USNA '85, if you receive direction to complete the DODMERB exam twice --talk to someone, preferably USNA and DODMERB. No sense spending limited resource recreating the wheel.

Thank you so much for this information Sir/Ma’am. Exactly what I needed to hear.

Yup, Mr. Mullen is correct. Sometimes, you won't even know that another service sent the request in until you get an email to check the site.
