Drug Use and Domestic Terrorist Threat

It boggles my mind why she would 'report' this to ALL the authorities. Better course would be to just one, so that he is not tipped off (by example his unit), this way they can use a CI to get into him and build a case, otherwise the obvious defense is that she is the one who put all that stuff on his phone. After all, she had the password, and admitted to going on it- all he has to do with his legal defense is state that she planted that on his phone, it wasn't him, etc.

Just thinking out loud. And the prior posts about her contacting her own attorney are spot on- he will be pointing a finger at her soon enough.
Good luck to vernacilis- you may need some extra eyes behind your back and stay alert if he is involved in all this. Sorry you had to experience this.

In before thread close, so I can post this and like all six (6) of Devil Doc's posts. Oh, heck, likes for everyone.

WOW.

In vernacilis's defense, we do not know how this all played out regarding reporting this issue.
~ She may have contacted the det. waited a few days, and no reaction. Repeat this process with the police. Repeat with the FBI. FBI now rolls the ball back down the hill to the police. Police informs the det. The det. than asks for the pics., and now starts their own investigation.

I think everyone here agrees that if the cadet is brought up on charges or kicked out of school, she will be visiting a courthouse in her future.
~ Testifying in a criminal case if he doesn't plead out.
~ Testifying in a civil case if nothing comes of her accusations, but his academic and military career were ruined due to her actions.
Hence, why we all are saying at least consult an attorney now.

I doubt they will be back because they probably took tbpexce advice that this is truly not an anonymous forum. Look at how many member exist on this site, and that does not include lurkers. She may think it is, but, 2 +2 can equal 4 real soon, just by the little info given.
~ EX BF is in AROTC. She just moved back from overseas after 3 yrs. Now, another cadet just likes to lurk on this site. They read this thread, and start putting 2 +2 together...cadet smith was pulled in by the CoC, gossip in the unit is drug issue. He talked about a month ago how he and his girl broke up. This same girl lived overseas for 3 yrs. I highly doubt that there are many AROTC cadets across the nation that are being investigated for drug issues, and has an ex-GF that lived overseas for 3 yrs.
~~ I am not a betting woman, but I would bet on one hand.

Now here comes the problem for vernacilis. Just like the gossip in the unit that the cadet is being investigated for drug issues, the lurker here will most likely gossip too. Say, yeah, go and look on SAF. There is a poster that says..... doesn't that sound like cadet smith's life?

This truly is also a lesson to be learned about social media. I have said it before and will say it again. Kids don't get it. They just type away thinking it is faceless, and nobody can put it together. That is just not how it works. The internet can be your best friend or your worse enemy.

This is so true! But it does make for some amusing court cases and lends fodder to many a divorce!

Can't we quit bumping this thread and let it die a natural death? If someone has something to contribute on the original topic, then by all means do so.
