What a nut, He derailed an entire train and skidded through a parking lot, coming to rest more than 250 yards from the ship.
Good thinkin' there, moron. I wonder if he was wearing a tinfoil hat?

Clearly the engineer was not an engineer. Had he no idea how trains work? Any of my kids at the age of four could have told him Thomas the Tank Engine would not have made it all the way to Mercy the Ship down at the pier without tracks.
That's what I was thinking? Did he not have a basic understanding of physics????? Moron.

I found this thread after I just made a post in the "Off Topic" section about Mercy and Comfort. Has anyone else heard rumors that Mercy and Comfort are/were actually possibly being used for secret rescue missions? Are they nothing but rumors? Somehow, I feel like this guy wasn't just a nut case and there's something deeper that they're not reporting. Is it just me?

No, they are not on a super-secret rescue mission.
Escape from New York was fiction (as was "Escape from LA)

FYI: Today Netflix is due to release (for Thomas' 75th Anniversary), "Thomas & Friends: The Royal Engine" with a message from Prince Harry & Rosamund Pike voicing a character. The skinny is that Sir Topham Hatt travels to Buckingham Palace to receive an award. Hijinks ensue.

That Engineer just watched "Joe Kid" a lot. He needs to go back and study Eastwood's technique.
