Family vacation before Plebe summer

Our family is planning a vacation outside of the United States (probably Mexico) after my son’s HS graduation. We are coming back a week before I-day. Would this be a problem? Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

I would suspect it would not as long as he is healthy when he reports for I-Day.

^^ Document appears to be from 2008 and a number of things have gotten worse since then. Some parts of Mexico and now places you should NOT go to as a tourist regardless of where you plan to go to college.

The only other thing that occurs to me is if he needed any vaccinations that required spacing, is he good to go?

This was 2021’s Permit to Report packet. They don’t change much from year to year. Worth scanning to see if anything that’s due would be impacted by the trip.

I think it depends where in Mexico. Check the State Department website regarding travel warnings.

Go to Colombia instead....great people, safer than Mexico, and beautiful...plus Americans generally don't go there
