Finding out our Companies

In my previous example, your platoon number (9) would be your company during the AC year. Since someone posted previously that last year they dropped the Alpha-named company designations - you would be in a platoon from 1 to 30 - corresponding to your company number in the AC year. There are two (2) regiments in the Brigade. 1st Reg. comprises C 1-15 inclusive, and 2nd reg. is comprised of C 16-30

Son got his company this morning -- 3rd Company (Bravo for PS). Looking forward to seeing everyone elses!

Okay, obviously my post above is wrong. There is no rhyme or reason to that whatsoever.

That's what he says?? My '19 grad was India/17th Company if that provides any more data points. I agree with you -- no rhyme or reason!
 
Last year, they didnt so the alpha, bravo, etc. They kept the whole company as a “bubble”. It very well could be similar this year (makes sense to me)?? Idk. I suspect this year will be a hybrid of ‘normal’ and ‘Covid’ summers. Already is, with the multi-day reporting/drive through drop off.

If the pre-covid practice is restored, the plebes will be organized into 30 platoons (designated by numbers) within 15 companies (designated by letters).

For example, 1st and 2nd Platoons will comprise Alpha Company; 3rd and 4th Platoons will comprise Bravo Company; and so on. So if your plebe is in Bravo 3, that’s Bravo Company, 3rd Platoon. When plebe summer is over, said plebe will join 3rd Company.

But again, this was how it worked pre-covid. Not sure if the practice will return in this exact form, though so far that seems to be the case.

Last year the detailers liked keeping the companies separate so that will continue moving forward. There will not be a Plebe Summer "Alpha Company" that consists of the academic year 1st and 2nd Company. Every Company will be separate just like in the academic year.

However, two Company's will share the same Company Officer and Senior Enlisted Leader. This won't really effect the plebes. Its more of an administrative thing.
