First Board Results

My son also got his on the 3rd board a couple years ago. The wait wasn’t easy but the result was the same. As noted only a small percentage of scholarships are handed out on the first board - less than 10% I believe. The large majority will be awarded in 2022, so don’t lose hope. This is far from over.
 
DS got a 4 year to his top 3 schools!! He will be joining my DD as a 4 year winner, so proud! Congrats to everyone else who was selected & good luck to everyone in the next two boards! And his DODMERB is qualified...now we just wait for college decisions!

Wait what is the difference between still put in "boarded" and being put in "boarded/under consideration"? Why is there both if it means the same thing?

It's been awhile....but if memory serves:

My kid's portal showed as "Boarded" on the day the 1st board results were released. The day after (possibly 2 or 3 days after) the first board announcements, his portal showed B/UC.

Same thing happened on the 2nd Board.

His glorious "Winner" tag came on the 3rd round.

He's now at his #1 school, on a 4-year scholarship...and loving life.

That is all you need to focus on. The VAST majority of Army ROTC decisions have not been made, yet.

Stay the course, make positive impact/forward progress on those things you can control, and keep working other options.

It's gut-check time.
 
Sorry if this has already been asked but does anyone know how many applied for the first board?

So 183 Scholarships were given out for 1st board and I saw someone said 2000+ people applied. It's very selective in 1st board, but I heard more people get selected in 2nd and 3rd!

Just wait to you see the 3rd board post light up. I know waiting isn't easy. My son had to wait as well. Like someone else mentioned he is knee in ROTC activities now. If he had gotten it on the second board he might not be playing college golf.

He loves school and all the activities. They just returned from FTX last weekend (Halloween). He said there was nothing like being cold, wet, tired and trying to LandNav on the side of a mountain in the dark.
 
I checked my son's dashboard its still says board ready in yellow at the top but the winner status was updated but it conflicts with the Boarded/Under Consideration.Image-3_50.jpg

We were dealing with the same thing. I suspect it means he is still Boarded and waiting the January board. But your son might reach out to his ROO. For the sake of our young neighbor who had the same thing happen, I would love to know if this means anything other than boarded.

I have this same line in my portal listed under “Winner” section but the top banner on this same page is highlighted in yellow and reads “Boarded.”

I don’t know if this means I’ve been selected or not selected.

Has anyone looked in the "additional information" tab as it states in the photo?

If your portal says board ready that means it was not reviewed by the october board. It should either say boarded or winner (boarded would mean you were not selected for a scholarship from the first board).

If you were selected your status will say "Winner" at the top. Anything else means you were not selected.
