I must say that the comments following that article were hard to read.
1000% agreed.
That being said, from an ADAF aspect impo it will be very hard to overcome this situation. Can we spell PRF, OPR? She is only an O3.
Not a betting woman, but my bet is she will be PCSd real quick to another assignment and maybe will get a P for her O4 board on a very good day.
~ Note that one article states:
She will continue to serve in
‘non-supervisory role’ in the Air Force’s 20th Fighter Wing,
~~ AKA she is probably at home on desk drawer leave until they figure out what to do. Think about it...non-supervisory role. The only non-supervisory role I know in a flying squadron is the FNG snacko. You can't be the life support officer, bc you have enlisted below you. You can't be in weapons. You can't be in scheduling. You can't be admin (SOF). All of these positions require you to supervise. Only a snacko has that position. Hence, why she is probably at home now while they work out her future.
She knows her AF career is basically over, so it will now be time to start to use her AF network connections to get a commercial airline position. (United, SWA, Fed EX, etc). Obviously she can handle the stick.
It is sad. I wish her the best. Maybe she got hit with the wrong end of the stick. It is what it is. However, as a woman I am kind of angry. We, as women must live at a higher standard than men impo.
~ No flaming, but I am old enough to remember Shanon Faulkner at the Citadel. I am also old enough to proudly say Jeannie Flynn Leavitt paved the future for Nicole "Fifi" Malachowski as the 1st female Thunderbird.
