Food Truck Thursdays Starting in October?

she is surviving but would love to have some better nutrition for her day
Has she consulted with the nutritionists/dietitians on staff? DD, also an athlete, did so and found them to be helpful in navigating the offerings. It’s possible to create good and healthy meals, if not necessarily on par with what mom/dad would make.

We’ve had food trucks come a few times a month in the evening for as long as I’ve been here minus a hiatus during covid. I never heard of any mids buying from them (Gotta save $$ for the weekend) but I guess enough do for it to be profitable. Sometimes there are food trucks during lunch outside the Mid Store lot and I’ve seen officers buy from them but never mids.

Lunch is mandatory Mon-Fri and with the new Dant so is breakfast Mon-Thurs. Much of the Brigade is unhappy with the new breakfast requirement, myself included. One more mando event, and most of the food goes to waste because many mids don’t even eat breakfast or don’t like the powdered egg fare. My plebe year we had 2 mandatory breakfasts per week and that was ended in 2019 to save money and improve lunches and dinners, so you can imagine the effects now. Now that my rant is out of the way, I do understand the new Dant’s reasoning (not that it matters whether I do). There were zero Brigade meals last year and 3/4 of the Brigade is in a new company, so it’s supposed to build back camaraderie. Just wish it could be done when I’m no longer half-asleep and over something other than a thawed Eggo pancake.

Study break over. @Skipper07 if you’re reading this, hope Six Weeks is going well.
I attended a summer training, and heard the new Dant speak to this point exactly. For a long minute. He felt pretty strongly about it! Maybe the mando breakfasts will go by the wayside after the camaraderie building of post Covid shotgunning?? As a non-breakfast eater myself, I can see the extra sleep or study time as a nice alternative.

I’m curious if y’all think the mando breakfasts are working as far as bonding as a company? Or how that’s going in general??

Well morale during breakfast must be okay as I got a text with a picture of DS and squad mate eating bananas with peels. I had no words.
