Norwich,
I have to ask, have you heard about this:
http://www.waff.com/story/19981857/some-nonunion-ala-crews-turned-away-from-sandy-recovery
The fact that they turned away non-union workers from another state is despicable. Seriously, they are saying the unions mean more than turning on the electricity.
Bullet's mother who is N stage cancer is in a hospital that is living off generators still today. (Ocean County)
My Mother who is 75, my brother and sister in law still have no electricity. (Monmouth County)
Bullet is going up tomorrow to be there with his 80 yr old Dad, who has electricity will be doing the un-thinkable, carrying gas containers he will fill in MD because we know his Dad hasn't filled his gas tank, and spending 4 hrs in a gas line is not their priority when his mother needs them and has limited time left.
Shame on Red Cross, Shame on FEMA, Shame on Bloomberg for using generators so the NYC marathon will occur instead of using it to get stores and gas stations open.
Our cousin, who is an NYC native (ARMY, now in DC as an attorney for the justice dept) even asked wonder how many NYers without water will go to this tents to get water?
It is going to get worse still because the weather is expected to get colder in the next few days. They are living with water and 40 degree nights,,,come a few more days it will be water and freezing temps.
