Happy Birthday, Navy (October 13, 1775)

We're on the honor system here, need I remind anyone!

The quiz is rigged 1/10! I want the Marine version. I only got the SEAL one correct. ;)

Happy Birthday shipmates!

Blue jacket, 5 of 5... none of them were guesses. Obviously the ones I go wrong were.

I am aghast.

Come on, people!

ADM Michelle Howard has been retired for some time now. The quiz says she is currently VCNO which was my first clue to remembering I took this quiz sometime in the past. As I recall, I missed the Admiral of the Navy question. I thought it was Farragut, but he wasn’t a choice, and I realized I was also hazy on the difference between 5-star admirals and an “Admiral of the Fleet.”

Okay...the ONLY reason is that my "almost daughter" who is a USNA graduate told me about the USS "XXXXXX" several years ago...I'd never heard of it or her before. I looked her up...fascinating lady! I never knew she was a recipient of the navy cross.

The rest...just good navy history.

I think there too many flag officers...

Wonder how current Mids would do 🤔 I’ll sample, and send to mine. Will report back 😂

BTW, I’m a NUB. Got two correct. Both attributed to TV I watched, just this week. Josh Gates’ Expedition X, investigating Fort Morgan, Tecumseh’s final resting place (good episode, BTW).

In my defense, I missed the Star Trek question.
