Booked in Fishkill. They say the reservations are non refundable but if you persist they have some wiggle room. I have until June 30 to cancel or change reservations..
Peekskill is about 10 miles from West Point. The road to Peekskill after you cross the Bear Mountain bridge is rather curvy and dark so just be aware of this when returning late at night. It is easy access to Metro North if you wanted to take the train south to Manhattan and also centrally located for shopping and restaurants. There are some nice restaurants right on the Hudson River if you want to relax and take in some really pretty views. Try the Taco Dive Bar, Gleason's or Peekskill BreweryI think I booked in Peekskill...anyone stayed there?
There is quite a bit of info on this link re: dates and hotelsDo we know the dates for R day and A day yet for class of 2022?
Avoid downtown City of Newburgh.
hahaha ok so maybe not avoid completely! I'm a Rockland girl so get my slices a bit further southAvoid downtown City of Newburgh.
But then how will you be able to get a slice at J & F?
We stayed there this summer at a Holiday Inn Express when we went for a tour and it was nice. It’s a pretty drive, but definitely winding mountain roads. It’s not far, but it does take a little longer because being a flat lander I drove a little more slowly. . I’m used to being able to see for miles! My son hasn’t gotten an appointment yet but if he does we may go back there. If I didn’t have to consider cost I would stay at Thayer for the convenience but I definitely have to consider the cost so we’ll be staying somewhere cheaper, or, you know, maybe just sleeping in our car. I’m kidding!I think I booked in Peekskill...anyone stayed there?
