I always thought recognition was the ENTIRE regiment recognizing them as fellow M/N. Doesn't it follow that the ENTIRE regiment should be involved? We knew the week before we were recognized that it was coming. You started seeing all the 1/C bringing milk back to their rooms from Delano and you would see it sitting on top of their radiators in the rooms when you took their trash out in the morning.we (the non-training staff) were given EXPLICIT instructions to avoid ALL recognition activities under the very real threat of being stuck on the spot.
I tried to keep a guy out of trouble once by logging the incident as "M/N X was brought to the MOD shack by security ...". It didn't help him any and he was still kicked out in the end. It was apparent when I was testifying at his E-board that I was the only one who found humor in the M/N X log entry.
