That is a very good thing. The next question is has he received a 3Q letter? If he meets the minimum and is qualified by admissions, then he will get the appointment regardless of how he ranks against the other candidates.
If he is not qualified, the MOC and FFR may be able to discuss the option of Prep with admissions.

No, his file is being looked at right now to determine if he is 3Q. He is medically and physically qualified and he has the primary slot, but because his SAT math was a little low (however above risk threshold) and his class rank is top 35%, there is the possibility that he is not academically qualified. He goes to a very competitive Doddes high school in Germany where a large majority of the student body are high achieving kids of high ranking officers, Lt Col and up, and the top school for athletics in Doddes Europe. It really puts the kids at a disadvantage in this particular situation.
