DS was DQ'ed last year but USNA and NROTC both issued waivers. He is a college Midshipman and reapplied to USNA this year. He responded to DoDMERB's request for an update -- I believe it was a one page form. He received a letter from DoDMERB today stating that he is DQ'ed for the same condition. We thought the waiver was good for two years. Apparently not? Is it just the DoDMERB medical qualification that is good for two years? Will USNA automatically start the waiver process again?

Do you have documentation of the waiver from last year? I would send that to DODMERB. It was my understanding that the exam and waiver were both good for 2 yrs

I found the waiver he got from USNA last year. I'm going to scan it and email it to DS. I recommended that he send it to his Admissions Regional Director to facilitate the waiver process this year, together with his DoDMERB update.

Just talked to DoDMERB. So nice! The waiver is still good. Nothing to worry about. Yay!
