I need help!!!

As mentioned by many, WP is a different experience. The 24/7 military experience will be vastly different then ROTC at a traditional university. Life on active duty will not mirror the experience of either WP or ROTC, you will enter BOLC after commissioning and it will be a fresh start where you will be with those that have commissioned from WP, ROTC, and OCS. The biggest thing to remember is that commissioning through ROTC will never preclude you from becoming a great leader.

I was disappointed I didn't have West Point as an option
Back then I am not sure if I would have chosen WP had I applied but I wished it was on the table.
I was becoming more and more attached to my life here.
I would have chosen West Point hands down but now I am unsure.
I find it hard to leave behind what i have established here and give up the academic progress I have made here.

Doesn't seem like you are talking about the military.
Doesn't seem like you are talking about wanting to go to WP.
Seems like you are talking about having the option to go to WP.
Seems like you want to want to go to WP...but don't actually want to go.

I would think that if you are not sure, stay at your U and pursue ROTC.

My advice is coming from a graduate of u of fl, go gators. My husband and I both grad from there and 2 of my 4 daughters have gone to dental school there. I bleed orange and blue. My youngest is at West Point and I have never felt anything like the long grey line. Will it be different than UF...yes of course. But the friends you make there are more like family.
Bottom line if you want to be a leader go to West Point. If you want to have fun in college stay where you are. You will never get leadership training like what you will receive at West Point anywhere else, in my humble opinion not even at other service academies.
My daughter was a reapplicant. She was a self prep (free agent) at NWP followed by a semester of college where she took plebe year classes. The time spent at prep school and college were well spent and helped her immensely during plebe year. So while you may think your time in college thus far may have been wasted it actually has been preparing you far more than you can imagine.
Reach back and remember why you wanted to go to West Point in the first place and what you wrote those essays about. The admissions team thought you a good fit for West Point now you just have to decide if it is really something that you still want!

No shame in staying put, as you’re still on the path to a commission. Finish your degree, get your butter bars, and continue the long legacy of ROTC-produced officers who serve their country with courage and distinction. A year after pinning on those bars, it should be irrelevant where you went to school.

I decided to stay with orange and blue! I will be honest I do not feel great about my decision however whats done is done. I was yes for WP until minutes before I made it official and changed my mark from accept to decline. I got scared. Thanks to everyone for the help and advice.

The nice thing is that when you graduate and commission, you won't give this decision a second thought. You will be proud of where you're at and won't be able to imagine yourself anywhere else. Best of luck to you.

Either decision leads to the same destination. The journey may differ, but you are taking the shortest distance between two points.

In his freshman (MS-I) year, I asked my DS if he wanted to reapply to the SA's, and he came to the same conclusion you did. He commissions as an Active Duty Armor Officer next Wednesday.

As a proud Seminole, I hate to say this, but "Go Gators"
