Fortunately, the damage to my psyche caused by the thought of ā€œcarrot baconā€ was mitigated by the smell of Neuskeā€™s bacon cooking in the background. Mrs. Stealth uses it in making her homemade baked beans which are destined for a family reunion this afternoon.

Hope itā€™s cooler there than the 2 family reunions we are heading to today! Unfortunately, both are outside šŸ˜©
 
To help us recover from The Horror That Was C***** Bacon, this morning I did make my shortcut Pillsbury cinnamon rolls with cream cheese icing that I carefully unroll, tuck cooked bacon bits into, re-roll, add extra Vietnamese cinnamon and bake. Normally I am a scratch baker, but I always have a tube of these handy for this particular indulgence.

DH is having his 100% Kona coffee with them.

Nasty, smothering heat here today. I feel like lying in a lawn sprinkler like I was a kid.

Forecast 81 and sunny this afternoon. Not too bad for NE Wisconsin. Fortunately itā€™s only 20 minutes from home so we can head out if itā€™s too hot or I get tired of my in-laws, whichever comes first.

Ahh...the overnight LOW isn't that chilly here...

Today? Day 30 of over 110F...forecast for only 113F but there is hope on the horizon!! Tuesday "they" are saying we "might" only hit 99F...before going back over 112F.

And no, you can't cook bacon on the hood of your car.
(But you DO get some very strange looks from neighbors if you try...)
