Not a mistake. I believe that USAFA's BCT is also called "beast."

Yes, USAFA's is called "Beast" also, its the phoenetic pronounciation of the acronym BCT which stands for Basic Cadet Training.

I wondered the same thing about the red/green blocks. Really, that didn't make much sense to me because my understanding is that it's all done on a WCS score, and you're compared to others on your MOC's slate. So the "Ooh, look, she's a goalie on the men's state lacrosse team" - GREEN BLOCK - without any other info, seemed a bit strange. I guess I'm not sure when this whole red/green is theoretically taking place - just as an initial screening? As a final decision? Thought it was done much more mathematically, not just "he had an interesting essay"!

And when I was at WP back in the late 80's, we were NOT supposed to call CBT (Cadet Basic Training) "Beast". Of course everyone did, but at that point they were trying to move away from that terminology. Not sure how much that has changed, but I do see on the AF boards that BCT is regularly referred to as "Beast" at AF, so definitely not a mistake.
