interview etiquette?

The truth is there was never anything new here that I read that supports the MOC nomination process. Two US Senators from one State, using a "fair" system that allows for personal interviews does not support the supposition that the current MOC nominations system works best.

To the best of my knowledge, it was Congress -- not the SAs -- who instituted the MOC nom process. [Someone correct me if I'm wrong.] Regardless, b/c it's a law, Congress that must change it and I doubt that will be happening any time soon.

So, if you don't like the MOC nom process, take your protests to your MOCs. The SAs can't help you. And, BTW, lotsa luck with getting your MOCs to remove themselves from the process.

Bottom line -- whether you think the nom process is good or bad, absent an act of Congress, it's here to stay . . .

Warning

Folks,

As my colleague USNA1985 said...
"...All posts that do not contribute to the original question and/or are merely argumentative will be edited for content. Keep it up and you won't like what happens next.

No more please. Please remember what you agreed to when you joined this forum and what its purposes are. Personal attacks, arguments not germain to the issues/topics at hand, do nothing more than foment discontent among the members and just might drive a student/parent/educator AWAY from a highly valuable source of information.

If you have a disagreement that is personal and really won't contribute to a discussion amongst the members, take it offline (think PM). Do NOT fight it out here.

The next steps are, as USNA said: "....you won't like what happens next."

That is NOT a threat; rather, treat it as FAIR WARNING.
